Broken Porcelain and Drawings

A way of fixing broken porcelain plates with drawings.

Artist Rob Strati has a unique view of what to do with a broken plate. The following is an excerpt from his site: "This work was inspired by a plate from my wife's late mother, Barbara. One day it was dropped and shattered. Some time after, I picked up a pen and started working on the Fragmented series, exploring the possibilities of things broken and the stories that can evolve from them."

He follows the main pattern on the dish and then uses his experience and imagination to expand the scene. It's an amazing concept that truly comes to life when executed. The process, also guarantees a one of a kind piece at the end.

I will leave you with Strati's fantastic and imaginative work.
