Kelsey Becket uses different mediums to take advantage of the best qualities of colored pencils and the smoky, highlight qualities of the paints.
There is so much depth and layering. So subtle, they are not immediately obvious. At first you are just aware of the complexity of the color palette. It's only when you look at it closely, you begin to see the gradual variations in the tones.
Each one of these illustrations could be the star of their own animated story. Beautifully rich in color, emotions and expressions. A perfect post to see you though what at one point was considered the end of the working week.
