Line drawings of animals expressed in a novel way.
We have showcased Melpomeni Chatzipanagiotou before here on DesignStack. This outing is very different from her lovely fantasy illustrations, but just as beautiful.
When you think of line drawings you imagine of a minimalist rendition of an image. This is all but simple. The flow and proportions of the lines, perfectly fit the contours of the critters they are meant to represent.
Their appearance stands in contrast with the animals you find in nature, but you recognise the illustrations with ease when you see them. It sounds a bit like the description I gave yesterday for human portraits.
Intricate drawings to illustrate fur, feathers and scales in a way I have not seen before. I thought highly of her as an artist before seeing these drawings. This just reinforces that feeling. I hope you reach the same conclusion, by the time you reach the end of the page.
