A great chance to see a number of moleskine sketchbook pencil portraits.
The following, are some of the illustrations Russian Artist and Illustrator Ksenia Kimlyk has created.
Drawing studies in which she reproduces peoples' emotions and expressions, in realistic and sketch fomat.
These facial expressions are subtle, the kind which is easily missed if you don't pay attention. A person on the sketchbook alone and sometimes with another. They share in a scene, which you can give a meaning to make sense of it.
A way of figuring out what is occurring with the protagonists, within one static image.
What is going on? What are they thinking? What is the emotion being expressed and why? This adds to the interaction with these wonderful portraits, courtesy of a talented artist like Kimlyk.
Enjoy her work and your Sunday. I will see you bright and early tomorrow morning.
