Fingerprint Drawings Paper and Murals

Fingerprint drawings. The charcoal finding its way on paper and murals.

Judith Braun uses a very direct and intimate way of creating art. There is no intermediary between her fingers and the surface the piece is going to develop on.

The movement of her hand/s is not transposed or interpreted by a pencil, paintbrush or any other instrument, which separates her from her art.

Another fascinating aspect of Braun's work, is the imprecision of the art in the carefully and precisely crafted pieces. Precision is a thing of beauty and so is the individuality of each stroke of the fingers. The contrast between the two, is a fascinating sensation. Like the taste of sweet and sour together. Opposing flavours, which join together in a supporting union on your taste buds.

So much more to appreciate of the utterly deceptive simplicity of the concept and execution of this art.  Have a look and see what you think.

Ps. I gave the images some titles.
