Matt Atkinson captures these wild creatures' likenesses in paused action sequences. They are not "look forward and stand still" portraits like the big horn seems to be. Rather, interactions between same and different species plus, sequences of motion. Examples of that can be the bear running through the water and the golden eagle soaring in the sky.
The interaction I find the most fascinating, is the one between the wolf and the bird. It doesn't look openly hostile. It leaves the possibility for an understanding and a possible friendship. I don't know for sure, but I like to think of it in those terms.
