Jim Bentley uses his drawings as a conversation. Each portrait presents sentence or a chapter.
Emotions carried to us though silent expressions. That said, they are as clear as if they had been spoken outloud.
There are many attributes which identify them as realistic drawings and other, which have sketch like quality.
The points I have listed above, are the features of the best portrait artists out there. Bentley is definitely amongst them. He brings us imagery we are so familiar with, we sometimes have a tendency to overlook them. It's only when we spend the time to really look at art like this, that remind ourselves of the magic within humans, life in general and the people whom bring it to life in a variety of mediums.
