Polish Artist Pawel Stepanow is the owner and creator of all the images below.
I love Stepanow's style, it's so distinctive. It works wonderfully at highlighting and delineating the facial features, of these cute animals.
Many of the expressions we find in human portraits, are seen here. Granted, they are more subtle in many cases, never the less, present in their looks.
Accents of colours, imprecise lines, colours which overflow their containment lines, all add to this amazing style.

If I ever learn how to do this, I might actually use Procreate. These are wonderful.

I am hoping that he used Procreate for the sketch, then printed it and did pastel, colored pencil, maybe watercolor. His hashtags on various social media accounts indicates that.
ReplyDeleteBecause if it's all Procreate, I'm depressed and discouraged and doomed. Superhuman.
It's a matter of practise and experimenting. Allowing yourself to get things wrong and learning from the mistakes as well as the successes..
