Fantastic paintings exploding with light and colour. A lovely collection of characters, one more interesting than the next. That and the amazing layering of paints and pencils, are a sight to be admired. They are so perfectly executed, they almost look like they were applied with software. A real achievement, when the results are so outstanding.
There is so much to like about Rory's work. I will list some in bullet point format.
The blue theme of the 1st piece and the π. The fantastic composition and colours of the the 2nd. The light patterns symbolising water and that serene, relaxed look on the character beneath the water on the 4th piece. Then, the interested look of the ginger cat on the 4th painting. The intense expression of the two characters in piece 6th and the warm colours that add to the atmosphere of this piece.
There is something good about all of them and much more to say about all of the ones I mentioned.
