Lothar Zhou is a Senior Art Lecturer at Breda University in the Netherlands.
I love Zhou's style and perfect choice of subjects. They span the planet with many buildings and sites from Europe.
Lines placed next to each other in patterns that bring out dark and light highlights. Some of them have longer lines that seem to have a kinship with sketches. Then you have the illustrations with shorter lines. This helps give the piece the appearance of a more realistic image.
An example of the first is: The picture of Amsterdam bridges. An example of the second is: The London view of the double-decker bus and St Paul in the background.
I am beyond impressed with Zhou's work, especially the nighttime ones. I hope that if you are having a difficult start to your week, that these drawings will give you a little time off from the stresses of...
