Larienne drew and painted all of the figures that appear on this page.
I adore the combinations of these bright colours. Most of the images are paired with a flash of colour and a grey more subdued one. The latter helps to ground the figure, giving it a more distinguished and stylised look.
The composition of the pieces is something you might miss at first, but it's one of those aspects you would miss if it wasn't there.
They seem to be conduits for the feelings they experience. Some serene and others darker, less pleasant.
The expressions in the features are tied to the message of the illustration. They are sometimes more subtle to allow the entire picture to speak as a whole.
A lot of artistic proficiency and depth of emotions have gone into Larienne's work. I hope you are able to see them in their best light and can appreciate all the points above...
