22 year old Swedish Artist Lisa-Marie Melin, aka (Little Geeky Fan Art), is a self confessed "Video game nerd".  As well as video games, she loves cartoons, manga, retro and current.  Melin has been painting since a young age and decided to combine her two loves, to produce a lot of very colorful, Fan Art paintings.  Have a look below to find, nostalgic feelings, for characters from the past and the present.

Manga Black and White and Colour Detailed Drawings

Beautifully drawn, incredibly detailed and amazingly coloured original drawings by freelance Manga artist Sandra Filipova, aka DarkSena, from the Czech Republic.  Filipova has a real passion for drawing, that comes out loud and clear in her work.  The colour is applied in a very subtle way on the drawing, not everything is coloured there is a lot of black and grey shading.  With a slightly different feel the Black and White drawings are just as beautiful.  At the bottom of the post we have included a sheet with colouring in tips by Filipova, press the image to enlarge it so that you can see the text, it will cleare when full size.

How To Draw Manga - Video Classes

Painting and Drawing Portraits with Dry Brush

In this post Igor Kazarin shows us and tells us about this amazing technique.  It is achieved by using a very small amount of oil paint, mixed with solvents like sewing machine lubricating oil.  A small amount is put on the brush which is rubbed in on the palette, to the point where the brush looks dry.  Now it can be used to paint on watercolour paper and any mistakes and highlights can be erased with a rubber.  This amazing paint effect makes painted images look like pencil drawings. The sped up videos below, will show you just how good this technique is and how the shades are layered to make the painting look so realistic.
