Graphite expertly used to depict all sorts of birds, an amphibian and mammals.
Italian wildlife artist Luca Milione drew all of the critters you see on this page.
Such lovely drawing studies. Each animal is drawn in various poses. The birds are slightly more varied. When their wings come into play, their body line and form, change dramatically.
My first mention is drawing number two. The slight progression in the cat's poses to focus its gaze in different directions. In the last one, it actually points towards us.
My next pick are the frogs, as I really like them and love their calls.
Following is the wolf. This image is a little more in-depth anatomically speaking. There is a profile of the animal showing the internal musculature of the canine.
Finally the owl. This drawing seems set up as a step-by-step progression of the drawing process. It seems to follow a circular placement, with the finished piece at the centre of the page.
There are other beings for you to identify and appreciate. I will leave you to it.
Enjoy Milione's work and your Wednesday.
