GiacoMina Ferrillo drew, painted and wrote all of the entries you see on this page.
I really like all of the things that go into journal keeping. The three mediums i listed above don't fight each other, but in fact complement one another to liven up the page they are performing on. Like a well-cast group of theatre actors, they are all there to make sure the story is told well and the viewers are entertained during the performance.
The first image below is my favourite one. Let's start with the colour palette: The purples, creams, browns, greens and graphite. They are well spaced from one another and give the page a beautifully stylish and vintage look. The writing is divided into descriptive paragraphs. Not the placement you would find in a book, but one that acts more as a glue for all of the drawings and paintings on the page. Finally, comes the knowledge base of each of the flowers and plants that take part in this production.
A beautifully curated diary that includes small insects, fish and a variety of botanical illustrations.
