Jill Islay drew all of the images you see on this page.
Just like fire starters, Islay created many dream or imagination starters. With dreams, I include the sleeping and the awake kind. Personally, I find that in the sleeping dreams you are in a self-driving car. Where, in the daydream one, you are set in a manual car. They both have their pluses. It really depends on the mood you are in and the level of control you want to have over your thoughts.
I know it's a bit of a surreal subject to discuss, but dreams in general and specifically daydreams are very undervalued. They are mini breaks for your mind and a fantastic tonic for your whole body.
It all ties back to Islay's work, as these drawings make it so easy to build a dream structure around them.
The first drawing is the one I like the most. I see it as a story, a memories in a jar, All you have to do is to open the container and you are back in that moment to relive it. Or you could just store the location and make new memories every time you enter.
Which drawing/s is the one that would set off dreaming straight away?
