Sketchbook portraits dressed in a mixture of different mediums.
Nastya Perevozchikova drew all of the sketches you see on this page.
Color pencil, graphite, markers and ink pens all play a part in aiding this artist in constructing these fantastic portraits.
There are so many lovely and distinctive details that fill this post. Colours and details are applied in so many different ways to make the drawings look so different and interesting. You will see as you scroll down the page.
The first drawing I want to mention is drawing 3.
This two-page sketchbook drawings encapsulate the meaning of sweetness for me. A fantastic finish, presentation and a story told in little rectangular portholes that give glimpses into that magical world. Just look at the way the girl is looking at the joyful smiling puppy. The presentation is what brings every beautiful facet of this piece together.
It's as if each one of the drawings has a signature detail or group of details that sets them apart from the rest. Look at the hair, the highlights, the shadows and the variation between a sketch and a more realistic finish. The colours or a monochrome finish and the different mediums are all aspects that characterise these works. Have a look at the wonderful way Perevozchikova uses them all in the pieces below.
