Needle Felting Wool and Needle Animal Portraits

The title is not 100% accurate, there is 1 human, it's a self-portrait of the artist.
Even though it might look like these pieces were finished with other materials, Dani Ives, only works with wool and a needle.  The layering of the colors and the realistic finish, is achieved by painstakingly introducing fine layers of different colored wools.  With an interest and passion for animals, science and art, this must be a wonderful job, to look forward to, every morning.  As well as a love for what she does, Ives really enjoys teaching her techniques, to eager to learn students.  I have added a mixture of pictures to try and showcase her technique as much as the quality of the finish.  Below you will be able to find, as well as full pictures, WIPS (work in progress), photo verses wool animal and that one human portrait.
