A fantastic aerodynamic construction, that allows the driver to sleep, eat and relax in it, at night.
2nd grade teacher Jacob Witzling, is also a cabin builder and has been featured before here on DesignStack, with one of his fantastic tiny house constructions. Today we are looking at his transformation of a 1979 F-250 pickup, to allow him and his partner Sara Underwood, to travel the Unites States and sleep in this wonderfully cosy and comfortable 20ft²(1.9m²) space. A lot of the materials used for the construction were recycled by Witzling. The quirky and functional design, is part of a trend called Van Life. This includes people, that either choose, or are forced by circumstances to live in their cars and vans. Some of the designs they come up with are really efficient and practical. Whether this is something for you or not, the use and allocation of space, is something a lot of the users of these small space have an absolute handle and control over, something we can learn from. Below you will be able to see the beautifully hugging interior and the van parked in a variety of wonderful places around the US.
