The practice of drawing these shapes, is believed to have started in the 4th century, where Buddhism and their arts, spread to countries like: Tibet, India, Nepal, China, Japan, Bhutan, and Indonesia.
Graphic Design Student and Illustrator Gyöngyi Szabó, brings us her wonderful mandala shapes in all colors, black and white and different backgrounds. These shapes are said to symbolise unity and harmony, geometric shapes that have a calming effect on the artist that draws them and on the viewer, when they get lost in staring at the repeating patterns and intricacies of each drawing.
