Specialising in pet portraits, gives an artist the change to put great smiles, on the faces of the people that commissioned them.
Rene Lopez is from the USA, he has the incredible talent of being able to reproduce happy and emotive expressions, using colored pencils and paper.  Below there is an example of a WIP drawing (work in progress) and the full drawing, immediately after it.  This really gives some clues, to the progression, of these detailed and realistic recreations, of the real cats and dogs.
