Fantasy and Surreal Animal Oil Paintings

With the exception of three of the oil paintings below, the main stars of today's post, are birds.
Hawaii Artist Jon Ching, loves to paint animals and nature, some times combining the two, resulting in a beautifully surreal result.  His attention to detail, the brilliant and colorful paints he uses, are what I think most fascinate me, about his work.  Images that look as real as the real animal, but with a pinch of creativity and a twist of fantasy.
