Animal artist and instructor Joe Weatherly is the creator of the drawings on this post.
He looks at animals in different poses and from diverse aspects.
The latter consists of two methods of drawing:: From a simple sketch to block the proportions, to more and more detailed finished illustration. An example of this is the snow leopards.
Then there is the one which goes from the inside outwards. This studies the bone arrangement first, then the muscular structure above it and lastly, the skin and fur on top of that. An example of this is the leopard.
As well as drawing studies there are single illustrations too, like the cat and the lynx
So, a lot to see and beautiful animals to visit. No feeding or petting please. : )
