Straightforward pencil portraits and people in scenes.
Japanese Artist Yuko Makimura (まきむらゆうこ) does an excellent job at mixing timelines within her art. Past and present, comfortably siting side by side. In the second picture, it actually happens in the same scene. A classic gown and backdrop on one side and trainers on the other.
Even though there are many portraits and expressions within them I really like, I love theimages with scenes. By this I mean full body depictions with a setting in the background and in the middle of doing something.
Listing the fascinating aspects of each of the drawings, would be a protracted endeavour. It might take away form you seeing and making up your mind in a fresh image.
My hope is you like Makimura's work as much as I do and the feeling you get from viewing this post, expands to the rest of your day.
Ps. I gave the images some titles.
