Baskakova has a very distinctive style. There is a smooth softness, to these graphite applications. Plus, a real talent at capturing the expressions these animals project. One of my favourites has to be the lovely big round eyes of the raccoon.
Then there is the piercing eye of the owl in profile and the cute little otters gathered on the rocks. The inquisitive look on the wolf's face and the cute little hippo, lovingly looking at its mother.
Lastly, the deer taking in the scent of nature and enjoying every minute of it.
