Pencil and charcoal drawings. The portraits vary from sketches to realistic, with a short stop on minimalist art.
All of the drawings on this page were created by Czech Artist Iva Kutilkova.
As I said, there are many different styles of drawings. As well as the ones I mentioned above, there are also design studies.
These drawings are lovely and cool individually. Though, it's only when you look at them as a unit that you appreciate how many different ways you can approach people's likeness.
My favourite drawing is the sketchbook one of the different perspectives of the statue's head. Same face, seen from many different angles, to give you a palpable feel of the object.
Then there is the unusual pose of the woman lying on the floor with that inquisitive look. She is searching for answers... What is the question/s?
Lastly, the tender look on drawing four. Realism in the face and expression, becomes more of a sketch form execution, as you move farther away from the focus of the portrait.
I hope the enjoyment of Kutilkova's work carries onto the rest of your Sunday and weekend.
