Drawings that look like vintage images plucked from an old tome or manuscript.

Dutch artist Pam Hage goes by the name of "Queen of Eagles".

Human forms mixed with all sorts of fantastical creatures. Amongst them, an example of fantasy architecture in the form of one of the hobbits' houses.

As I said, Queen of Eagles is the name this artist goes by. It's also the name she gave to drawing number 3. That is probably a self-portrait of Hage and her faithful little winged friends and subjects? I like the idea of her immersing herself in her own art and stories.

I understand how drawing seven might look strange to some. That said, I love the look of the creatures, the pose and the upward angle at which they have been taken. There is so much to set this piece apart from the normal portrait most artists draw.

The next drawing I want to mention is drawing number 8. The jester. It's quite a dark sketch full of detailing. Even though they are so compacted, you can still tell them apart and differentiate between the separate parts that constitute the entirety of this figure. The material of the clothing, the skin, hair, facial features, including the mask and the tambourine that adds a little light to the piece. The tiny bells at the end of the filament strands and the curly shoes complete the wonderful picture.
