Vlada Repina drew all of the art you see on this page.
There is more to drawings like these. By that I don't mean they are better, just that they contain more information. The drawings are almost like a biography of the botanical world.
The image is drawn, a sample of the original specimen is shown and a description of it is given. That can include all sorts of things that apply to this one form of life.
At the end you have a complete, to varying degrees, picture of the specimen you are studying and focusing on.
The beautiful drawings, the presentation of the pieces and also the writing collaborate to give each image a wonderfully artistic look.
All of the qualities I described above are the reasons I love to come across artists like Repina. What do you think of this art?
