Charcoal pencil drawings of people's portraits.
John Fenerov drew all of the likenesses you see on this page.
Some of these drawings seem to have been done live. Others were probably made off of a references or memories.
When it comes to the in situ sketches, they are mostly of people and one of what looks like a bronze statue. This particular drawing is definitely one of my favourites. Fantastic piece and beautiful reference.
Realistic looks and finishes that ensure a fascinating group of fantastic likenesses. The one that, to me, seems to approximate more a photo is the one of drawing number seven and that expression. It seems to be one of contentment. The person is happy in that environment and is enjoying the surroundings. Whether it includes another person or not, it's something this person seems to be enjoying.
