Small ink drawings that show off a variety of different subjects.
Dario Anza created all of the art you see on this page.
The first drawing is a beautiful, confusing and surreal drawing. It looks like it's high up on a tree and at the bottom of the sea. These two images seem to be coexisting in the same drawing. The clue for the first part is the little bird sitting on a branch. The second setting seems to be at the bottom of the sea or ocean. There are images of jellyfish and seaweed growing.
For me, at the centre of this drawing is the analogue, unpowered typing machine and some kind of tome below it. Is this supposed to symbolise the writing of a manuscript? If so, what kind of story would be typed on this machine?
The other drawing that plays with my senses is the second one. the skiing and the rock climbing. Their design and relationship are something I truly like.
Check out these sketches and all of the fascinating drawings Anza has created.
