Multi talented Russian Artist Vladimir Gvozdev, creates paintings, graphics and sculptures.  His works looks like the notes and experiments of an eccentric Steampunk Scientist.  He creates detailed technical drawings of the animals he wants to create, (beautifully framed in boxes containing, gears, instruments and all sort of  little trinkets, that give them a fantastically Antique look).  He also has variations in the animal drawings, with different concepts for the fish and the Rhino, for example.  He then has a second set of drawings, depicting how humans can use these mechanical animals and lastly some sculptures of his concepts.  Beautiful and Surreal work from a talented Artist.  Enjoy...

Self taught artist ReveMiniatures loves to make 1/12 scale (12 times smaller than the real thing) miniature animals.  The size is not the only amazing thing, it's that he manages to create realistic expressions on his small models.  Reve mostly lists as his or her materials: polymer clay, natural fibres (yarn) and hand painted details.  We have put together a collection of animals for you that includes Cats, Dogs, Birds and Wild Animals.

Kendra Haste is a contemporary Animal Sculptor, that forms her sculptures using galvanised wire.  The amount of detail she is able to put into her creation is a testament to the research she uses when constructing them.  We have included a video of Haste, in her studio describing her work.  Her reference material include, the bone structure of the animal that she is going to sculpt, which adds a further level of realism to the finished piece.  Haste was commissioned by the Historic Royal Palaces Commission to produce sculptures for the Tower of London... More in the Video.

American Artist Andrew Chase has many talents, he is a self employed Photographer, Furniture Maker and an amazing Mechanical Animal builder.  As you may have guessed, this post will be about his Animals, that he constructs from recycled car parts, plumbing parts and anything that will fit the need he has for it.  The sculpture is only one part of the beauty of his work, the full articulation and the range of movements add, to his creations, a real feeling of realism.  This can be seen in the amazingly realistic flow with which they move in the Animated GIFs.  His mechanical animals can take between 80 to 120 hours to complete.

Dot and Circle Animal Paintings, Ishihara Test?

Ana Enshina is a Freelance Artist, Musician who studied Architecture and currently resides in the UK.  These beautifully vibrant and colorful Paintings resemble a fancy Ishihara Test, which is, a color perception test, to identify weaknesses of the eye, in recognising certain colors.  If you have been to the Optician or Optometrist, you have probably undergone this test.  The novel way of painting and representing animal forms, coupled with the vivid colors she uses, make the finish piece, a real unique view of the animal kingdom.

Animal Wildlife in Art

With a love for nature form an early age and an artist as a father, American Artist Collin Bogle found a way of combining these two factors, to shape his carer.  Reading his Bio we came to the conclusion that, Bogle is not as interested in the artistic medium he uses to represent his art, as much as making sure that he gets it as perfect as he can.  To reach his goal, he uses pastels, coloured pencils, watercolours and acrylics, then finishing it off with Photoshop to put the final touches.  He definitely proves that mixing mediums does not diminish his art, but adds to the finish product.  In this post we are showcasing his Big Cats, Wolfs, Bears and Birds.

Colombian Artist Federico Uribe Studied Art at University and began his carer as a Painter.  He then put it aside to concentrate on making art from simple, ordinary and every day objects.  Uribe experimented by combining them in many different ways, to see what he could get out of them.  In today's post we are going to have a look at his sculptures, made from bullet casings. They represent movement and life but, they are made from the very thing that was made to extinguish them, bullets...

Amezaiku Japanese Art of Candy Animal Sculptures

Ame-shin is a beautiful store that keeps the 8th century tradition of Amezaiku alive.  Amezaiku is a sculpture technique that uses heated candy at 90°C to make it malleable.  The sculpture must be finished within a few minutes, before it hardens again.  The the sculpture can be cut, pulled and bent but no part can be cut off, as waste is frowned upon.  A characteristic of this process is that they are formed and therefore always sold on a stick.

Animal Paper cut-outs Colored by Nature

No comments:
00-Nikolai-Tolstyh-Animal-Paper-cut-outs-Colored-by-Nature-www-designstack-co
️Journalist and Art lover Nikolai Tolstyh cuts out silhouettes of animals and then gets nature to do the coloring-in by using different natural settings as his background. This summer we saw Fashion Illustrator Shamekh Al-Bluwi, use the same technique, with his cut-outs but, he was showing female silhouettes with Architectural backgrounds, this is the link to the post "Drawings with Architectural Backgrounds".  We don't want to start arguments here and we just wanted to state that, we don't know who came up with the idea first.  We have shown the images as simple GIF animations to highlight just how good an artist Nature really is.
