Hyper Realistic High Life

Artist Cj Hendry likes the finer things in life, just look at the subjects she chooses to draw.  Her Hyper Realistic drawings are larger than the ones we usually see.  To give a better idea of scale we have chosen pictures that include Hendry her self.  We have added a video of a handbag she drew for you to see, more of her process.  It takes a bit to get to the drawing part just be patient it is worth it.

Clever Subjects for Hyper Realistic Paintings

American Artist Patrick Kramer creates these Hyper Realistic drawings with a difference, they carry clever titles that together with the image carry a message.  The painting above carries the title "The Optimist and The Pessimist", referring to the Glass being Half Full or Half Empty.  If you enlarge the images, remember to look at the titles of the images they are very well thought through.

Beautiful and precise Hyper Realistic art by Painter François Chartier, really shows how, with a lot of dedication and attention to detail, we can replicate a moment in time, on canvas, just as if it was a photograph or a freeze frame on a video.  Chartier divides the subjects he paints in categories, so we have decided to bring you a few of each, starting with Underwater, Pop Culture Icons, Simply Flowers and ending with Paper Beauties.

Hyper Realistic Pencil Graphite Drawings

Self Taught Artist Linda Huber, really captures the expressions of the models she draws, be them human or animal.  The drawings have to be very detailed and especially with portraits, one wrong detail can change completely the finished image, making it look, nothing like the original.  That is why Huber says she spends, on average, a month on each drawing.  She also conducts remote paid classes, where she will teach you everything she knows about pencil drawings.  Even though we have featured quite a few Hyper Realistic artists, they still really amaze us with their realistic accuracy.

Hyper Realistic Make up on small Dolls

Filipino artist Noel Cruz does something very different, he takes Mass Produced 1:6 & 1:4 dolls & action figures of celebrities and then re-paints them and re-styles their hair to make them so much more like the person they were originally modelled on.  We have included a video that has Cruz talk a bit more about his process, plus before and after pictures of his creations.  His talents are made, that more impressive, when you consider the size of the dolls faces.

Hyper-realistic Ballpoint Pen Animals

Hyper-realistic Ballpoint Pen Animals by Artist and illustrator Sarah Esteje aka (ABADIDABOU).  Incredible Hyper-realistic drawings executed with a Ballpoint Pen.  When asked how she could draw and shade without creating striations, she said that she applies very little pressure and builds up the layers bit by bit and that the process takes a lot of time and a lot of different sittings.   The Article also includes a video showing her at work.  We have included at the end of the article some other images apart from animals, as they were too good to pass up.

Hyper Realistic Drawings from the Heart

Rebecca Blair is a Canadian visual artist with a Hyper Realistic style very different to the ones we are used to featuring on DesignStack.  Her Art seems to be be driven, mostly, from her emotions and her experiences, good or bad, sometimes producing some raw and hard hitting drawings to encapsulate a bad situation or, the personification of feelings like hurt betrayal, loss...  Enjoy these beautiful and evocative drawings.

Painting Hyper Realistic Details

Beyond the mastery with which he paints these Hyper Realistic paintings, Brian Tull really makes his art different by focusing on part of the big picture.  These acrylic paintings on canvas, almost look cropped, they force the viewer to pay special attention to the details to try and figure out what the scene is about and what might be going on in the rest of the puzzle, if this is, but one piece.

Pencils and Charcoal Hyper Realistic Drawings

Hyper-Realistic view of our World

Hyper-Realistic Artists Denis Peterson allows us to set up a different type of article.  Usually hyper Realistic subjects vary from inanimate objects, animals to people posing.  Peterson reminds us that there are other themes, other than beauty and ethereal subjects.  We have decided to interlace both aspects of his art, to show the contrast and a more balanced view of our world.  In the article you will be able to find an interview with Peterson.  Once in the article you can enlarge the image by pressing it (not the first one).

Vintage Hyper-Realistic Paintings

We think of Hyper Realism as a new form of art, but there are artists like American Charles Bell (1935 – 1995) that have quite a head start compared to their modern counterparts.  An Accountant by profession, Bell seemed to have quite a predilection for Gumball Machines, Vintage Metal Toys, Marbles and Pinball Machines, very popular in the eighties (we have shown examples of all).  All the objects he chooses have qualities that make the finish painting look amazing, from the transparency of the glass, the vivid colours of the objects, he uses, reflections, shadows, that make his work as technically proficient as what we see today.  He is said to have had no formal training in Art, you don't need a piece of paper to be an artist, and he proves that.
