Hyper-realistic Ballpoint Pen Animals by Artist and illustrator
Sarah Esteje aka (ABADIDABOU). Incredible Hyper-realistic drawings executed with a Ballpoint Pen. When asked how she could draw and shade without creating striations, she said that she applies very little pressure and builds up the layers bit by bit and that the process takes a lot of time and a lot of different sittings. The Article also includes a video showing her at work. We have included at the end of the article some other images apart from animals, as they were too good to pass up.

ReplyDeleteWe are a blog site. This is the fantastic work of artist Sarah Esteje.
DeleteAs far as your question goes, i am assuming you can draw/paint you just want to get better?
There are so many free tutorials on sites like YouTube and TickTock
Make your search specific to what you are actually looking to improve.
Technical proficiency is only one aspect of art and the schools are going to be looking for more than that.
Your subject matter counts as well. Choose subjects that showcase a wide range of emotions. Show symbolism on some of your art and then explain the meaning below it.
Prove to them you have range as an artist, that you see thee word in a more complex way than just a casual glance.
Learn to put the feelings that drove you to create a piece in words. Explain it in an accompanying note and show them the thoughts, research and consideration that went into it.
A good school will appreciate all of this and will see potential in your approach to art.
I hope this helps, if even just a bit.
