Even though American Artist Cindy Procious is better known for her paintings, in today's post I have chosen to bring to you, her charcoal portraits. Having seen many portraits drawn, painted and the result of mixed media art, I can say that the artists put their own stamp on the drawing and that goes from the abstract ones, all the way to the hyper realistic ones. Many things can affect a portrait, not only the artist's interpretation, but also external factors like: lighting, features, pose or expression of the model, medium chosen and many more things... That is why it's always a delight to look at a finished portrait and enjoy that specific point of view of the artist, unique to that moment.
