Zulf has thoroughly mastered this technique; to the point that the drawings really own the description of minimalist art.
Imagine having a light source; this will cast some parts of the face in light and some in dark. Now imagine you could erase all the darker parts and this is what Zulf's drawings seem to be left with.
I remember back to school days, when I used to highlight words or phrases that most summarised the concepts explained on that page. They would serve as triggers, reminding me of the most salient points. They would, in other words, paint a picture of the content of the whole page.
Most of these drawings work on the same principle.
