Many of the pieces below have both, one of both. The rest I have only included the paintings.
Absolute beauty and perfection of detailing in both illustrations. The colours in the painting, seem to better differentiate the subtle colour changes and the proximity and overlapping details. This is where the drawings come in: They are so full of information that are almost difficult to read.
A fantastic way of making us aware of just how much work and precision goes into each one of these pieces.
In a way, the drawing sets up the pitch and the paintings hit it out of the park with a beautiful and realistic execution.
