Sketchbook ink drawings with plenty of details.
Production Designer and Set Designer from the Netherlands Edwin Rhemrev drew all of the art you see on this page.
This post feels to me like visiting different worlds. Based on some of the same principles as ours, but very different in other ways.
There are so many points of interest in this post. This is the kind of inspiration that transcends mediums, styles, and categories of art. I will make this thought even clearer: This is the kind of art that I can see influence: Writing,, painting, drawing, music, animations, etc. Art is based on projecting your thoughts, on allowing the viewer to see what you see in your mind. The artist then extracts these thoughts and externalises them into a form that is accessible to the viewer. It can come out in all the forms I described above and more. If you are still thinking of how this thought links to the art below... Think of it as this: These are not the usual landscapes you see in art. These are sights that stretch the mind, that put you outside this world and the constrictions we are used to subitting to. There you can make your own mind up on how things work and how things are done.
Don't mistake this for a political thought. Look at drawings numbers 6 and 8. The first would never stand up and the second would never stay in the sky, in our universe. To accept these drawings as reality, you have to dismiss physics. Once you do, you set your mind free to imagine whatever you want without restrictions. That is the best creative state to be in. Perfect creative openness. That is when all is possible and truly inspired ideas come to mind.
I hope I have done enough to explain this point. I think it's a good line of thought inspired by Rhemrev's fantastic work. I further hope you get as much out of it as I have.
