The Louvre Museum Paris, France and the Ponte Vecchio Florence, Italy are my favourites. It's not about their frame, but about the architecture and the magnificent way Yıldız depicted them. The choice of the perspective of the sights and the accuracy of the drawings add so much to the finished pieces.
In the case of the museum, the look of the building, the glass pyramid and the reflections in the shallow pond are a combination that sees this trio come together in a spectacular way. The reflection almost seems to duplicate the amount of imagery. The drawing and the original site are such astonishing sights that it makes it a true treat if you are not in Paris to see the actual building.
The following is an image of the Ponte Vecchio Florence, Italy. I have seen pictures of this bridge and various pieces of art about it. I always assumed that any of the buildings on the bridge would be commercial ones. I did a search and found out that there are also residential residences on its upper levels. Can you imagine living there? The views and the unique placement of your home.
