Indian Artist, that goes by the business name Meher Art Studio, is the person that created these lovely illustrations.
Great black and white drawings that are created using a ballpoint pen, an unforgiving medium that doesn't allow for mistakes.
There are three aspects that I love in particular about this post. The clothing of the people he depicts. It would be hard enough to draw the details in pencil let alone in pen. That coupled with the beautiful design of the garments, really makes them a joy to look at.
The second one is the double exposure technique: where you have two images partly or completely, sharing the same space. The process in Meher's case, is reserved for the portraits of the two gentlemen.
The third is the Indian inspiration, so different from what I am used to seeing on social media or art sites. I love art based on traditional, regional areas of the world. It adds variety to the mix and increases the level of interest. My searches are in English and I guess that that alone, limits a lot of the interesting art out there.
If you are an artist, or know of one or more that create interesting regional art like this from anywhere in the world, please let me know. I would be very happy to showcase a greater pool of concepts and inspiration.
I always try to include the artist's nationality. I want people to know that it doesn't matter where you are from; someone from your part of the world, has taken that chance and is producing great art. So look at what is around you and use some of that interesting and unique heritage, to stand out as an artist.
