An artist that as well as creating, also teaches his craft.

Brazilian Artist Rafael Konishibai dedicates a lot of time to honing the attributes necessary to create art as realistic as this.

This post holds a collection of his works, which include portraits and scenes.  Amongst the portraits, a few celebrity faces I am sure are going to make their fans very happy.

Enjoy the following black and white pencil drawings.

Ps. I gave the images some titles.

  1. This awsome work. It takes a lot of talent to do this kind of drawing. The down part of it is, that most people are shocked when they find out its not a photo and comment on how cool it is, but, then they say, 'why not just take a photo'.... Which in a way makes sense. I guess it has its good points and its not so good ones. It is something to see these types of drawings. I know how much work goes into them as I have done them myself, but, then again,
who really appreciates the time put into them when they 'can just take a photo'.
The smoke on the trian one is fantastic!

    1. You touched on many interesting points in your comment.

Some people think that art has to be liked or disliked.
As you said, there might be some things that people like or appreciate about a piece and some that they don't.

Art is as complex as the many people who create it and view it.
I see: "I like it" or "I don't like it" and anything in between as reasonable options.

Regardless of where you fall on that scale, asking yourself how you feel about a specific piece of art and and why you feel that way, is how you appreciate art.

So thank you for taking the time to write your comment and explaining your point of view.

      Have a fantastic day. 🌿️🌺️🌿️

    2. I think for this type of art, people don't realize how much time and skill it takes to produce an image like this, leaving out no detail and creating not just a 'photo' like drawing, but there is more depth to it than that. Sometimes that is missed... actually, often it is missed.

Its like the other day w the colored pencil drawings. Some might look at that and say, oh nice but take a picture. But when you look closer and see the elegant strokes of the pencil and the depth of the layers, you get a different aspect and feeling for the pc.

you have a great day too!
