Stippling Art Surfboard Drawings

Art added to an old surfboard to make it new and desirable.

Jarryn Dower is an Australian artist whom re-purposes old surfboards. He does this by creating beautiful art on them.

The technique he adopts is the stippling one. Little dots of ink to produce images.

The following is what has to say about the drawing process:
"A lot of work goes into each surfboard design, from the early stages of preparing the surface for drawing on, conceptualizing, and creating the artwork. Depending on the design and art medium, the board art will usually take between 60 – 80 hours each, spanning 3 – 6 weeks."

Re using old surfboards that might never see the light of day if not in a landfill, is a good reason for doing this; the art is definitely the clincher.
