Form and function explored in design and drawings.
This is the work of German Industrial Designer and Illustrator Marius Kindler. At the moment he is enrolled in the Advanced Product Design Master Programme at UmeƄ Institute of Design in Sweden.
Like many forms of art, design seeks to highlight a concept and have other people view and understand it. Where it differs from many of them, is in the presentation. Hints are not enough, you have to be able to see all aspect of the concept at once. This includes, in some cases, the open view of the object with all of it's internal components.
This can be achieved in one of two ways: Either a 3D model, that can be rotated in real time or many drawings showing the different views of it.
Kindler chooses the latter, which to me carries more of an artistic feel.
Art as a diamond, has many different facets. It can be expressed in a variety of ways, this is one of its beautiful faces...
