Threeleaves describes how a year ago the artist only managed to produce 20 pieces. This year, Threeleaves managed one mermaid for everyone of the 31 days. The ones you see below are some of my favourites.
I really like the imagination behind these illustrations. Adaptations of mermaids with different sea creatures and inspiration from animated characters. The manta and the jellyfish are my favourites.
The pieces seem to be a mixture of watercolor paint and ink fineliner for the detailing.
Mythical beings made even more special by these cross species mixtures.
