American artist Kassy Rose drew all of the animals you see on this page.
Art that gets close to approximating the real being. The grade of realism is not the most important thing for me, though. It's all about the expressions I mentioned above. I don't know if Rose picked these animals from references or drew them off the top of her head. The thing that matters is the choice of those fantastically descriptive facial features. They really melt your heart when you look at them and they stare back.
When considering the attributes I just mentioned, I would probably take the shark out for obvious reason. Not the cuddly type. I would also remove the Toucan. Those are steely and fixed eyes. There is definitely a story behind that look... : )
The horse and the gorilla are my favourite. In fact, I love them together, like in the collection above. Their expressions seem to feed off of each other.
Great art lived in a Thursday... That has to mean something. I am not quite sure right now. A little context: I am writing this in your future. It will take a few weeks for you to see these words. By then, I am sure I will work out what that sentence means...
