A selection of pencil drawings of celebrities.
UK artist that goes by the name of Richmond147 drew all of the art on this page.
This collection is of a more seasoned/established celebrity. Actors, a singer, a painter, a writer and a pugilist.
It's amazing how I see their work flash before my eyes as I look at their depiction. Their faces almost act as a link to a repository of art. Movies, singing, painting and writing. Is boxing a form of art? I guess from certain aspects it is descriptive and shows the dynamic between the pugilists and between them and the viewers. Does each fight try to express something unique the two sportspeople want to convey? Or is the art about the sport and it's separate from the fighters? Sorry. My mind's ramblings….
I have a question. Can you like a celebrity when you profoundly dislike their work? Conversely. Can you like the body of work of a celebrity you profoundly dislike as a person? I am not asking as a general question, whether it can happen. I mean you. What would you reply to those two questions? Are the two irrevocably linked? Would you accept one scenario but not the other? Or do you separate the two? One has no bearing on the other?
