There is so much going on here. Fantasy, surrealism, a kind of version of reality and steampunk. I will introduce some of the beings to start unpacking that list.
The first is the very aristocratic lion. Just look at that comfortable but very authoritative pose on the throne. Very human in some ways, but still retains all of the significant animal features the big cat possesses.
The second is also its position on the page. Not only do I really like the concept, but the detailing is a masterclass in drawing skill. Look at the wings of the dragonfly. Druzian is using the stippling, or dot art style.
Sorry, I am rushing a bit through this, but I want to mention as many as possible without making it too long.
The next one is a cool entry: The ape and that cool pose. It's dressed in what look like motorbike leathers, with what looks like a metal bionic prosthetic. And wearing what look like either bike or welder's goggles.
An example of steampunk in the two fish. Cuteness in the mouse with the top hat and the pocket watch. Then affection, with the girl and the enormous fluffy cat. All of it ends with the little gnome under the dripping flower.
