Mandala and zentangle drawings of animals in colour and black and white ink.
Ruth Tisha Biswas drew all of the images you see on this page.
As I said, the zentangle and mandala styles sometimes come together and sometimes are apart to show off these imaginative, stylised animal drawings.
Precision, symmetry, colour coordination and more. All of them give the being such a cool and different look. At the same time, you are able to identify the species in an instant.
So many favourites below. Let's start with the owl and a look at the list of attributes in the previous paragraph. I mentioned symmetry and precision. Even so, this is not perfection. There are some minor differences and that is due to the fact that they are drawn by hand. There is no use of software to allow you to draw one side and then mirror it.
You see this process repeated in the second drawing. The image of the butterfly.
In the third drawing, the one of the dragonfly, symmetry is swapped for flow. The semicircular mandalas indicate the direction, as the vines and flowers weave in and out of them.
The last one I am going to mention is the peacock in drawing 7. The design, the colours and the finish make this drawing such a pleasure to look at.
Now it's time to go and visit these lovely animals and appreciate all of the qualities Biswas has imbued them with.
Ps. I gave the images some titles.
