Nawaporn Pax Piewpun (aka Peaceloving Pax) describes herself as a Doctor and an Amateur Food Artist. Even though her work schedule keeps her really busy, she loves to create these culinary art pieces. He inspiration came from seeing cute bento made by Asian mothers on Instagram (Bento Box - Asian partitioned decorated box in which, different types of food are contained). She tried it herself and by the end of her first creation she was hooked. Nawaporn creates art with different types of food, we have also included 3 video tutorials (the last has no English text but, the imagery tells you all you need to know). Why don't you inject some fun during meal time for your children, by trying out something like this?

Navid Baraty is a Photographer with a background in Engineering, working out of Washington state in the USA. In today's post we are focusing on his Food Art, where Baraty, scans different foods, without the scanner lid, to create these serene space like images. Planets and moons are achieved by scanning the bottom of containers full of liquid, whereas nebulas are achieved using trays full of different liquids and stars using different salts and spices. A lot of preparation, plus trial and error has gone into getting to these images. The ingredients for each images are listed below each picture.

This is the second time we feature Kim Clough aka (fairchildart) an Artist with an amazing eye for detail and Miniaturist by day, Medical Lab Scientist by night. She tells us how she started in 2008, with a book from Sue Heaser, "Making Doll's House Miniatures with Polymer Clay", in which there are many easy to follow tutorials, covering many different types of miniatures. Now she uses reference pictures, of real food from different angles, to create her tiny replicas. She buys the cutlery and the dishes, with each clay sculpture taking between 1 and 3 hours to complete, depending on the complexity.

Mother of three and founder of Designer Lollipop, Priscilla Briggs started this business from a hobby, inspired by a lollipop containing lavender, she saw on Pinterest. Briggs then opened a small shop on Etsy, where she was left amazed, after selling hundreds of lollipops in one month. It took some time to perfect her recipes, her moulds, as well as her designs. Now, thanks to some high profile clients and the power of the internet, she is struggling to keep up with demand. Of all of the problems she could have, this is probably the nicest one.
