Los Angeles based Artist Vincent Tomczyk, creates these fantastically realistic paper sculptures. His interest lies in the every day relationship the objects have with the people that use them, making them unique in their imperfections and characteristics, like creases, dents, faded patches etc. There is an impressive engineering aspect, that goes into making sure that the paper structures can maintain their own weight. We have included a video that explains a bit more. Details of the various object are underneath their respective images.

We wish we had seen this earlier, it would have been perfect for Halloween. Annabel de Vetten from conjurerskitchen creates these macabre, some times funny cakes and chocolate sculptures. If you can get over the scary and / or icky part of it, you will see the mastery it takes to build up these gastronomical delights. Formerly training as a Sculptor and having worked as a Fine Arts Painter, have given de Vetten a very solid base to create these beautifully horrific art pieces she is now generating. We have included a video of hers, where she makes a marshmallow heart, beat.

Singaporean Creative Director Thomas Yang has a passion for and all things related to cycling. The name of this line of Artistic creations is called "100copies". The reason for the title is very simple, every art piece he creates will only has a maximum of 100 copies. Because they are created with bicycle wheels, not a precision tool, you can be assured that your piece of art will be a one of a kind. Another example of how art can be created using all sorts of unconventional tools, look at our link here "Art using Everything" or find it on the list of categories on the left of your screen.

Architecture Details in Large Scale Drawings
Ben Tolman is one of those Artist that creates very large drawings and crams them with details. The ones above are Ink on Paper, each measuring 50x78in (1.3x2m). It poses a certain amount of difficulty, trying to show such large drawings when we have such limited space on this page. We have chosen 3 ways to bring you these drawings, first, we have included a video of the Suburbs drawing, to give you a taste of the amount of detail Tolman injects in to it. We have added 2 Animated GIFs, where we have taken the drawings City and Trash and split them like a puzzle, for you to see at a bigger scale. The last 2, Rhinoceros and Suburbs can be enlarged by pressing the images. Enjoy these amazing drawings.

Argentinian Artist and photographer Jorge Royan, recently passed away, we only found out after we started writing this post. Amongst his talents the one we focused on was his travel Doodles or sketches, that he collected on his JR Sketches blog. He travelled extensively around the world documenting with photographs, drawings and travel diaries, not only the places he visited, but the people and and their habits. The sketches we chose were from scenes he observed in Vietnam and France. The simple sketches and the soft colours he uses really help to add character to these images. Enjoy...

Australian born Artist, Gil Bruvel has had a passion for Art and creating, since a young age. As well as Sculpting and production of uniquely designed furniture, that he calls Functional Art, Bruvel paints lovely Surreal paintings full of symbolism. We are concentrating this post on his Surreal Paintings of which part is abstract while the rest is more based on recognisable images. His paintings represent the weird dreams that don't follow the typical imagery and script of real life, but the ones we wake up from wondering "what was that all about, could it be..."

Radoslav Penchev, Graphic Designer and Photographer, working in Bulgaria, creates these abstract Surreal digital Paintings. There are many types of Surreal Art, there are the ones that have double meaning, the title and the image, there are the ones that make a specific statement that needs no title to understand, the fantasy ones and then there are the abstract ones. These are more difficult to interpret, but are the ones that offer the most reward and are personal to the viewer. What you see in these pictures will be shaped by the experiences that have influenced you and your imagination. That is why, if you look at these images with somebody else they might dislike a picture that you love and vice versa. The reason you love it or it has a strong impact on you? Paintings of Architectural Photorealism
Japanese Photo-Realistic Artist Hisaya Taira brings us these impressively realistic paintings. Having lived in a very crowded country, he seems to have removed the human aspect form his art, projecting these spaces in their purest and unadulterated forms. As more and more of us move towards a 24 hour society, especially in big cities, it is becoming less likely to come across empty buildings. Even when an office is closed for the night, the cleaning crew and security staff take over. The same goes for the subway, the night is taken over by cleaning and maintenance crews. Our lives are becoming so busy that for some, 24 hours are not enough to get everything done...

Clive Maddison is a multi disciplinary Artist, Model Maker, Musician, Book Writer and Sculptor, the last one is the one we have concentrated on, on this post. Maddison creates these beautiful trees using single strand wires that run from the roots to the leaves. He uses no glue or solder to keep them in place, it is all done using the strength of the wire which is twisted and looped on its self. The beauty of this form of art is that every piece is unique, as they are assembled by hand and it would be very difficult, if not impossible to recreate exactly a sculpture, making each one a one-off. Below are more details and specifications, showing you what goes into a one of these Sculptures.

Photo Realist, Painting Artist Daryl Gortner, loves to paint objects with intense color, brightly lit and items that provide a reflection or shimmer. The paintings are always a lot bigger than the original counterparts, because Gortner wants you to loose yourself in the details, notice little things that you would have otherwise missed, had the painting been to scale. Given the level of detail that goes into one of her paintings, it can take up to a month to complete one.

He creates detailed technical drawings of the animals he wants to create, (beautifully framed in boxes containing, gears, instruments and all sort of little trinkets, that give them a fantastically Antique look). He also has variations in the animal drawings, with different concepts for the fish and the Rhino, for example. He then has a second set of drawings, depicting how humans can use these mechanical animals and lastly some sculptures of his concepts. Beautiful and Surreal work from a talented Artist. Enjoy...

This is a proposed building that is as comfortable on land as it is on the oceans. It is designed to be self sufficient and is what is called, a closed functioning cycle, where food, energy, water and clean air are produced and the waste is recycled and put to use.
