Portraits exploring various proportions in the views.
Marcos Rey, defines himself as a Cartoonist and Realist Painter. In today's post we are going to have a look at his drawings, charcoal on canvas and graphite on paper, with the occasional use of pastels and ink, to add some subtle layers of colors, in the first instance, or accentuate the contrast in the second. I like the variety of how the portrait fills the canvas or the page, sometimes zoomed in, whilst other times, partial views that focus the attention, on particular details that the artist is fascinated by and that almost invites us, to have a look and figure out what captivated him, in the first place.
