Minimalist drawings, which focus on the essential features on our faces, that create expressions.
Artist Husam Wleed, uses charcoal and chalk pastel on painted wooden boards to create what I can only think of calling, an amplified version of realism. One in which, details are lit more brightly, to drive our attention towards them. Wleed paints wooden panels, before he starts his drawings. He uses a variety different colors, but for today's post I have elected to go with: dark blue and the this lovely dark orange / brown color.
